Privacy policy

Convos helps you keep up with LinkedIn conversations: posts from the people you choose, and comments on your own posts, answered by you. It has two parts: the Convos web app and the Convos Chrome extension. This page explains what data they handle, why, and your rights.
Convos is operated by Stevenson Conseil SAS (SIREN 931 160 907, VAT FR06 931 160 907), 7 rue Sainte-Foy, 75002 Paris, France (“we”). Contact: privacy@stevenson-co.com.
1. Data we collect
- Account: your email address, your workspace name, your language, your plan and billing status. Payment card details are handled by Stripe; we never see them.
- LinkedIn content read by the extension, with your own LinkedIn session and only for features you use: posts of the people in your Convos lists (names, headlines, profile links, photos, post text and images); comments on your own posts and their authors; the top comments of a post when you open them; your connections and the people in your feed when you open “Add from your network”; your own name, photo and statistics (impressions, followers, profile views).
- What you create in Convos: your lists, the comments and replies you write, notes on actions (sent, failed), your settings.
- Community (optional): if you join the community, your headline, sectors and some of your posts are shown to other members.
- Technical data: extension version, error logs and request statuses needed to keep the service working. The extension’s debug report never contains post or comment text.
2. How we use it
We do not sell your data, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not use it to train artificial intelligence models.
- To provide Convos: show your feed and replies, post the comments you write when you press Send, compute your statistics and insights, run the community you chose to join.
- To bill you and manage your plan and free months.
- To send service emails (trial reminders, account messages).
- To keep the service secure and fix problems.
3. Chrome extension and Limited Use
The extension only reads LinkedIn pages and data needed for the features above, and only after you have read and accepted the disclosure shown when you install it. It never writes, likes or sends anything on LinkedIn unless you pressed Send in Convos.
The use of information received from the Convos extension adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Data collected by the extension is used only to provide and improve Convos’s single purpose, is not transferred to third parties except as needed to provide the service (see section 5), as required by law, or as part of a merger or acquisition, and is never used for advertising, credit decisions or sold.
4. Legal bases (GDPR)
- Performance of our contract with you: providing Convos, billing.
- Your consent: the extension’s reading of LinkedIn, and joining the community. You can withdraw it at any time by disconnecting the extension or leaving the community.
- Our legitimate interest: security, fraud prevention, improving the service.
- Legal obligations: keeping invoices.
5. Who processes it for us
Each provider processes data only on our instructions, under a data processing agreement. Where a provider may access data from outside the EU, transfers are covered by the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.
- Supabase (database and login), servers in Paris, European Union.
- Vercel (web hosting), functions running in Paris, EU.
- Stripe (payments and invoices).
- Resend (service emails), when email is enabled.
6. How long we keep it
- Your account data and LinkedIn content: as long as your account exists. You can delete your account at any time in Settings: everything is deleted at once.
- Invoices: 10 years, as required by French law (kept by Stripe and in our accounts).
- When you delete your account, we keep only an anonymous record of the reason you gave, with no name or email.
7. Your rights
You can access, correct, export or delete your data, object to or restrict its use, and withdraw consent. Most of this is available directly in Convos (Settings, Lists, delete my account). For anything else, write to privacy@stevenson-co.com. You can also complain to the CNIL (cnil.fr), the French data protection authority.
8. Security
Data is sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS) and stored with access restricted to your workspace. The extension’s access keys can be revoked at any time in Settings.
9. LinkedIn
Convos is an independent product. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by LinkedIn. LinkedIn is a trademark of LinkedIn Corporation.
10. Changes
If we change how we handle your data, we will update this page and tell you in Convos or by email before the change applies.
